Emergency exercise being conducted by the Canadian Armed Forces in Huron and Bruce Counties, particularly in Goderich, from May 3 to May 5, 2024.
Open Letter to Lt. Paul Verheye, 31 Canadian Brigade Group Public Affairs Officer
Dear Friends and Fellow Canadians,
I am deeply concerned about the upcoming emergency exercise being conducted by the Canadian Armed Forces in Huron and Bruce Counties, particularly in Goderich, from May 3 to May 5, 2024.
While training exercises are necessary for our military, the proposed door-to-door "wellness checks" raise serious questions about our right to privacy within our own homes. This exercise also blurs the line between military and civilian roles, potentially undermining our democratic principles.
I urge you to join me in expressing our concerns to Lt. Paul Verheye, 31 Canadian Brigade Group Public Affairs Officer, at paul.verheye@forces.gc.ca. Let's ensure that any training conducted respects our civil liberties and operates within the bounds of the law.
Please consider sending a letter expressing your concerns and share this post to spread awareness.
Together, we can protect our civil liberties!

Subject: Concerns Regarding Upcoming Military Exercise in Goderich
Dear Lt. Paul Verheye,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the upcoming emergency exercise planned by the Canadian Armed Forces in Huron and Bruce Counties, particularly in Goderich, from May 3 to May 5, 2024.
While I understand the necessity of training exercises for our military personnel, I am troubled by the methods proposed for this exercise, specifically the door-to-door "wellness checks" that will be conducted. As a Canadian citizen, I hold our right to privacy within our own homes as sacrosanct, and the prospect of uniformed soldiers knocking on doors raises serious questions about the legality and ethics of such actions.
Furthermore, the broader scope of the exercise, including activities such as fire-fighting training and simulated search and rescue operations, blurs the line between military and civilian duties. This blurring of roles has the potential to undermine the democratic principles upon which our country is built.
I urge you to reconsider the methods and scope of this exercise to ensure that our civil liberties are not compromised. It is imperative that any training conducted by our armed forces respects the rights of Canadian citizens and operates within the bounds of the law.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and eagerly await your response. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,

WOW! Unbelievable....I saw VIVA Frei on his Rumble channel translating to English the concerns of a French lady from the Madeline Islands as well...again regarding surveillance and privacy of Canadians being trampled...needing to show ID before she leaves the Island where she lives....this is getting out of hand. Sharing your Substack and sending an email. I hope many other Canadians do the same. Thanks for writing about this.
100% agree 👍🏻 Thanks 🙏🏻
