Community service allows us to connect with people and serve the needs of the community. This is were the true leaders are found. Those willing to “wash the feet of the poor are the only ones truly worthy to sit on the “throne” and be called a Leader.
Having a rich family or a fancy diploma, does not make you a leader, nor does having all the right answers, putting your name on a ballot or being elected.
Serving your community is the mark of a true leader.
The service clubs and societies know this. They utilize the principle of “community service before leadership,” to find and promote leaders. If this methodology is so successful for them, maybe we should recognize it.
Where to Start?
Our towns are overrun with neglected needs….
The land is good, but few can afford a home.
Building a home is riddled with restrictions and red tap.
Those who feed the homeless are fined.
We have a government funded drug epidemic.
Our healthcare system is partnered with Big Pharma.
Small businesses struggle to comply to red tape.
Veterans, Elder and Children lack services and support.
The Legacy Media is dividing households.
The List Goes On… “It’s a damn shame,” but we can no longer wait for government institutions, societies and service clubs to fix it. It’s time to take action.
The government has “fumbled the ball” and clearly are not planning on picking it up. These are the Gaps We Can Fill!
This is a peaceful solution and positive solution. Get out there and help your neighbors, start clubs for the kids, host wholesome story hours, set up programs for the homeless, elders and the veterans. We know what we need to do!

Moving forward, I would encourage those doing good works in their community to network together and connect with others in their provinces and nationwide to develop, coordinate, fund and support these important initiatives.
Also, that those putting their name on the ballot, consider the importance of serving your community in meaningful ways.

Agreed. A good policy of a leader is to ask only of others what you yourself are also willing to do.
