' This organization starts with the premise that human sources of CO2 are the cause of 'global heating' (look at the choice of language alone - somewhere between 'global warming' and 'global boiling' ;-) It is their mandate to undermine (or attack) anything (or anyone) contradicting this idea. It was only a matter of time until KICLEI got on their radar of course, and it's a sign that KICLEI and Gather2030 is a force to be reckoned with. They're getting worried. Keep up the good work :-)

And thank you for clearly defining what Lethbridge city council concluded this month - the only way to achieve ICLEI-PCP's reduction targets is to put local tax dollars into carbon markets - one of the biggest tax frauds ever designed to transfer more local wealth to the already wealthy billionaires.
As I try to get up to speed with the Lethbridge saga unfolding in the UN outpost at City Hall, I just learned officials discovered "the only path to 40% emissions reductions was to buy offsets — not reduce emissions."
What an absurdity! In looking at the evolution of the netzero cult one can draw a straight line between Canada's Maurice Strong and Mark Carney, both of whom made major careers out of demonizing carbon, a major ingredient of life. The treatment of carbon as the most toxic chemical on earth, the knob that supposedly contains the key to controlling the whole climate, is a ridiculous con job.
There are many forms of environmental and biodiversity assaults underway that need to be addressed through human intervention. Such interventions do not include the Lethbridge City Council's ridiculous "purchase" of so-called "carbon credits." Such a purchase made on behalf of Lethbridge tax payers demeans all the citizens of this community.
I congratulate the folks on the list here who are doing much-appreciated work in, for instance, addressing the madness of carbon demonization, a cultish preoccupation now being pushed with a vengeance by the Prime Minister of Canada.
